RSD
RSD. This is Rift’s Scotch Yoke double acting valve actuator. This is a quarter turn actuator, typically used for on/off control of valves. Torque is non linear and peaks at the start and end of movement. This makes the Scotch Yoke actuator ideal for butterfly valve applications though they are often used for ball valves also. This type is double acting and uses air pressure to open and close the valve.

RSS. This is Rift’s Scotch Yoke spring return valve actuator. Torque is non linear and peaks at the start and end of movement. This makes the Scotch Yoke actuator ideal for butterfly valve applications. This type has a spring return and closes automatically under the spring pressure.

The RRD. This is Rifts’s rack and pinion, double acting pneumatic actuator. It requires air pressure to return the actuator. Using a rack and pinion, torque applied is even throughout the motion of the actuator.

The RRS. This is Rift’s rack and pinion spring return actuator. Using a rack and pinion, torque applied is even throughout the motion of the actuator. This actuator closes or returns automatically under spring pressure.
